This is the worldwide standard edition of Year One, Volume Two in the PostWax series.
Building on the tectonic foundation of their last album, "The Head Which Becomes the Skull," Oakland's Daxma (pronounced DOCK-ma, the term for a Zoroastrian funerary temple) unveil a record layered with crushing tones, lush melodies and powerful movements. "Ruins Upon Ruins" offers 2 soulful, haunting epic songs (including an astonishing 11-minute cover of "Landslide") perfect for those who love the avante-doom and sprawling explorations of SubRosa, YOB and Godspeed You Black Emperor.

I really enjoy this bands previous material and this is from the Post Wax release so I could muster this will be special like the Elder sessions. Check the bands BC page for a sample of what may be in store with this one.
If you enjoy the groves and vocals of Holy Grove then you'll love this band. More English than previous work and a tad bit more psychedelic than I recall as well. abnormal_listening_habits

Can't say I'm a fan of this band, but desert and stoner doesn't come any better than the vast, epic, twenty minute jam that is Dying on the Mountain. This song is just brilliant. All locked into a bass groove provided by none other than Mr Nick Oliveri (who seems to be behaving himself here!). Master of Alchemy
